For more than 25 years, Galería Azul has been the working studio and gallery showcasing the cameo engraved blown glass art of artist Greg Dietrich. Today it is also where you can see the work of artist Liliana Macotela.

Monday through Friday, 11am – 7pm · engraving studio open to the public

Who we are

Two artists who share a studio and gallery in the heart of the island.

Greg Dietrich

Greg Dietrich has been blowing and engraving glass since 1990. It is not only his livelihood, but it is a passion for him.

Background

Liliana Macotela

Born in Hidalgo, Mexico, she has lived on the island of Cozumel since 1997. A journalist by profession, she served for several years as a correspondent for newspapers in southeastern Mexico. Concurrently, she became involved in cultural outreach activities in Cozumel.

In downtown Cozumel, just 3 blocks off the waterfront. The engraving studio is open to the public — you can watch the glass being worked.
